Abstract :
This study aims to find out and describe the context, process, fundamental mathematical capabilities, and item capabilities level of Number Pattern Questions in the 2017 Revised Edition of Student?s Mathematics Textbooks based on the PISA framework. Research results showed that these questions are still relatively low, which only contains 16 questions (18.18%) which are classified as PISA frameworks. All number pattern questions belonging to the PISA framework. 12 questions (75%) are personal context, 2 questions (12.5%) are scientific context, 1 question (6.25%) is occupational context and 1 question (6.25%) is social context. Furthermore, the process component is dominated by the process of applying as many as 11 questions (68.75%) and the process of formulating as many as 5 questions (31.25%) and there is no interpretation process on these number patterns questions. The fundamental mathematical capabilities used in the number pattern questions consists of 13 questions (68.75%) to devising strategies for solving problems capabilities, 2 questions (12.5%) of reasoning and argument capabilities and 1 question (6.25%) of representation capabilities. While the other 4 basic abilities are not found in the number pattern questions. The most dominant level in this number pattern questions is level 3 which are 11 questions (68.75%) and 5 questions of level 2 (31.25%). There were no questions classified as level 1, 4, 5 and 6.
