Abstract :
Feed has an important role to increase livestock productivity, one type of feed is pellet. The quality of pellets can be measured organoleptically. The high cost of making pellet with high nutrition is a challenge to make pellet with least cost formulation that has high nutrition with minimum costs. Indigofera zollingeriana is a type of plant with high nutrition that can be used as feed , has a low price, and doesn?t compete with human needs. The aimed of this research was to study the composition of the Indigofera zollingeriana pellet formula against the organoleptic quality of Indigofera zollingeriana. This research was held on October 2018 in the laboratory of nutrition and animal feed and agricultural technology laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture Sriwijaya University. In this research the data were analyzed by using kruskall wallis test. The data observed included colour , texture and smell changes with each data of the two treatments. The results showed that two treatments had different not significant (p < 0,05) in colour parameter, and different (p < 0,05) in texture and smell parameter. The conclusion of this research is known that the composition of the Indigofera zollingeriana pellet formula which is different affects the organoleptic quality of Indigofera zollingeriana pellet.
