Abstract :
Based on the observations of the measurements results for all of flowmeters at PT.PGN Gas Station in Pagardewa, it can be seen that there are anomalies on flowmeter C (OFM C) measurements results that do not meet the normal flow process. OFM C experiences significant deviations in the range of 5.77% to 18.19%. This condition indicates a measurement error that exceeds the permitted tolerance (± 0.53%). In general, to overcome the above problems, it can be done by re-calibration the OFM C. However, calibration in off-line condition cannot be done for OFM C. This is due to the need for continuous distribution of natural gas (non- stop) forces the flowmeter C to work continuously as well. Therefore, a development of discharge coefficient (correction factor) for OFM C is needed. In order to obtain valid data in the development of the correction factor model, the correction factor modeling in this study was carried out by using the statistical test method for selected recording historical data. This correction factor model can reduce the range of deviations from 0.44% to 4.76%. From the test results, it can be concluded that the correction factor is very successful in improving the quality of measurement results for OFM-C. Besides that, it can also be concluded that Benedict's equation with modification can be considered to be used as a correction factor model.
