Abstract :
This research suggests getting NPK fertilizer, Magnesium (Dolomit) and a combination of NPK fertilizer and Magnesium (Dolomit) in peatlands to reduce Magnesium deficiency in oil palm plants. This research was conducted at PT Kelantan Sakti, Kayu Agung, Ogan Komering Ilir, South Sumatra in December 2018 to April 2019. That sample aged 5 years from Topaz variety. The method used in this research was a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two factor were doses of : NPK fertilization and Dolomite dose. Four levels of NPK fertilization and four levels of Dolomite dosage, thus there are 16 treatment unitsare obtained. Each treatment was repeated three times. Total sample plants were 144 plants. The factors stusdied were NPK (P) fertilization consisting of 4 levels, namely : P0= 0 kg of NPK/plants; P1= 1 kg of NPK/plants; P2= 2 kg of NPK/plants; P3= 3 kg of NPK/plants. The dosage of Dolomite (D) consists of 4 levels, namely : D0= 0 kg/pokok; D1=1 kg/plant; D2= 2 kg/plant; D3= 3 kg/plant. The researchshowed that there was an interaction between NPK and Dolomite fertilization on male oil palm flowers. NPK fertilization has a very significant effect on the number of fronds and has a significant effect on spear leaves. Dolomite dose sugnificcantly affects the number of fronds and sspear leaves, and has a very significant effect on fresh fruit bunches. NPK fertilization with Dolomite can reduce Magnesium deficiency in oil palm on peat lands. Dolomit 2 kg/plant can increase soil pH from 4.25 to 5.00. In general the higher dosage of Dolomite and NPK fertilizer up to 3 kg/plant can increase the nutrient content of N, P, K And Mg leaves.
