Abstract :
The new born baby should be adapted with the new atmosphere outside the womb. The Baby?s imperfect ability in producing heat makes the baby very vulnerable to experiencing hypothermia. Therefore, it is necessary to give a treatment for new born baby by giving an early breastfeeding initiation in infant to prevent the decrease in baby?s body temperature. This study aims to explain about nursing care in normal newborns. The approach that used is case study approach by providing nursing care for to newborns. The sample in this study are the three newborn patients in VK Pesalin Enim Room and OK Midwifery Room of RSUP DR. Mohammad Hosein Palembang. The three patients have nursing problems such as hypothermia, risk of hypothermia, risk of infection and increased readiness to be a patent. Nursing implication which can be used to newborns is the application of early breastfeeding initiation immediately after the baby is born, maintain aseptic techniques, and wash hands before and after touch the baby.
