Abstract :
ABSTRACT This study aim at determine the HOTS-based questions arranged by teachers in the fifth grade of elementary school Palembang on healthy food theme. This study used descriptive qualitative method. In this study, the data was involved the characteristics and the percentage of HOTS-based questions arranged by teacher in the fifth grade of elementary school Palembang on Healthy Food theme. The characteristics of HOTS-based questions are stimulus and higher-order thinking skills (C4, C5 and C6). In accordance with the results of data analysis, the stimulus on the HOTS-based questions arranged by the teacher in the fifth grade of elementary school Palembang on Healthy Food theme obtained the pictures and fragments cases. The criteria of HOTS-based questions arranged by teachers in the fifth grade of elementary school Palembang have measured C4, C5 and C6 cognitive levels with the most C4 (analyzing) numbers used by teachers. The percentage of stimulus level (high level thinking) found in questions arranged by teacher in the fifth grade of elementary school Palembang on Healthy Food theme is 1.1% with details: pictures of 0.7% and case fragments of 0.4%. The HOTS questions didn?t fulfilled the criteria that used a stimulus 7,8%, while the questions that did not use stimulus are 91,1%. The percentage of C4-C6 cognitive level in questions arranged by teachers in the fifth grade of elementary school Palembang on Healthy Food theme is 2.9% with details: C4 cognitive level of 1.5%, C5 of 0.7% and C6 of 0.7 %. Based on the analysis were obtained the information that the questions arranged by teacher were widely used at C1-C3 cognitive level of 97.1%. The results of this study indicated that HOTS-based questions arranged by teacher in the fifth grade of elementary school Palembang on Healthy Food theme is still low.
