Abstract :
The self-help housing stimulant assistance program is government support for the low-income communities to encourage and increasing the self-help in improving the house quality and the construction of new houses which include infrastructure, facilities and general utilities. The purpose of this research is to find out how is the implementation of self-help housing stimulant assistance program in Hajran Village, Batang Hari Jambi Regency. The type of research used in this study is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The type and data source used are primary data, namely by conducting a direct interviews with the informants and secondary data, namely through the documents and the regulations relating to the self-help housing stimulant assistance program. This study uses the implementation theory of Charles O. Jones which has three dimensions, including organization, interpretation and application. The results of this study showed that the implementation of the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance Program in Batang Hari Regency, especially in Hajran Village, was running well but there are still weaknesses, such as there is no division of responsibilities and work authority for each Regional Apparatus Organization that has involved in the technical team, in implementing the stimulant assistance program, socialization was conducted at the district level only once and no counseling was conducted, in the development process that must be conducted on the principle of mutual assistance has not been done by the group of recipients assistance.
