Abstract :
This 1.3-Butadiene manufacturing plant with a capacity of 60,000 tons / year is planned to be established in 2024 in the Krakatau Steel Industrial Zone, Cilegon City, Banten Province with an area of ​​5.2 hectares. The process of making 1,3-Butadiene is a dehydration process of 2,3-Butanediol using a calcium phosphate hydroxyapatite catalyst in a multitube fixed bed reactor of 4 pieces. The reactor has operating conditions at the same temperature that is 365oC, while the sequential pressure is 2.2; 1.85; 1,5; and 1.21 bar, with the following reaction.
