Abstract :
This study discusses the Evaluation of Street Children, Homeless, and Beggars Development Policy by the Social Service of Palembang City. This study aims to see the policy evaluation of street children, homeless people, and beggars by the Social Service of Palembang City. The theory used is the CIPP evaluation theory, which consists of four dimensions, namely context, input, process, and product. The research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach. The data technique uses literary techniques and interviews, observation, and documentation. Based on the research, it shows that the Regional Regulation of Palembang City Number 12 of 2013 concerning Development of Street Children, Homeless, and Beggars has not been carried out by the Palembang City Social Service. The Social Service of Palembang City has not carried out the social rehabilitation and social empowerment stages. Efforts to provide guidance are limited to social protection, which includes outreach to delivery of outreach results to the Provincial UPTD Social Institution. This is because the input dimensions that are not available include human resources and infrastructure at the Palembang City Social Service, so that it impacts on the process and product dimensions. This research is suggested to the Palembang City Social Service to collaborate with related parties, including the Provincial Social Service, NGO, and Psychiatric Hospital to make a work plan and evaluation of every activity of street children, homeless people, and beggars.
