Abstract :
Public perception of green building, especially in Indonesia, is still minimal. This is because the party still does not understand or realize the importance of green building. One of the experts who will play an important role in the development of construction, especially green building in the future is a student of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Therefore, this study aims to analyze how Civil Engineering and Architecture students perceive green buildings. The instruments used in this study are questionnaires and there are 4 variables covering basic understanding, criteria, benefits, and challenges of green building. The sample used in this study as many as 240 respondents divided into 2 study programs, namely Civil Engineering as many as 153 respondents and Architecture as many as 87 respondents. Data analysis conducted include validity test, reliability test, and mean. In this study using IBM SPSS Stasistics 25 and microsoft excel in conducting analysis. The results of the research obtained show both the perception of Civil Engineering and Architecture students has been classified as good. They understand the positive impact that green building has on the environment. Criteria in the application of green building with indicators of sources and material cycles as well as health and comfort in space are the main criteria required in the application of green building. Benefits with indicators of environmental and health and community are the main benefits obtained in the application of green building. In addition, challenges with indicators of organizational and personal are the main challenges faced in the application of green building.
