Abstract :
This study was aimed at finding out the influence of regional government revenues and expenditure on the poverty in Palembang. The data were secondary ones, namely the time series data from the year 2002 to 2011 taken from the Central Statistics Agency in Palembang. The poverty was the dependent variable and the regional government revenues and expenditure were the independent variables. The data were analyzed through a series of testing stages using Ordinary Least Square method (OLS) and Lag Model Almon. It was found that the regional government revenues and expenditure had negative but insignificant relationship with the poverty in Palembang. Based on the lag distribution, the regional government revenues had negative relationship with the poverty in Palembang at present year and in the previous year with insignificant relationship. The regional government expenditure had negative a relationship only in the previous year but had significant influence on the poverty in Palembang.
