Abstract :
Electrical energy has become the primary need of the community for daily activities. Renewable energy sources in place from fossil must be created to meet the people?s daily needs. One of them is by utilizing a transducer called piezoelectric as a source of electrical energy. Piezoelectric can convert mechanical force into electrical energy. Based on the function of piezoelectricity, the author conducted research by converting pressure from footrests and sound waves into electrical energy with piezoelectricity made from 35mm PZT (Publum Zirconate Titanate) ceramic material using a series circuit, bridge diodes as a converter of AC to DC current, and using a capacitor as a voltage stabilizer that will be flowed to the LED as a circuit load. Based on the results of the analysis using pressure, sound intensity, and a combination of the two sources as a source of piezoelectric energy, piezoelectricity with a pressure source gets the largest voltage at a weight of 78 Kg, which is 2.25 Volt and a current of 0.0821 Ampere, thus getting 0.18472 Watts power. While the sound energy source produces the smallest output at the sound intensity of 75 dB at 0.0107 Volts and 0.00285 Amperes, so it only produces 0.030495 milli Watt power. This happens because the vibrations produced by the sound intensity are so small that piezoelectricity produces a small current, voltage, and power as well. The value of the outgoing power is directly proportional to the current and voltage generated in the prototype, the greater the pressure energy exerted, the greater the electrical power that can be generated from piezoelectricity.
