Abstract :
This study aims to: (1) describe the implementation of learning models
Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving on the subject of relationships and
functions on students' mathematical communication skills (2) determine whether
there is an influence of Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning
models on mathematical communication skills students (3) know whether there is
an increase in students' mathematical communication skills after being taught the
Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving (TAPPS) learning model. The sample in
this study were students data used in this study are the pretest and posttest scores
from the experimental class with the Thinking Aloud Pair Problem Solving
(TAPPS) learning model. The tresults of the analysis of learning model in class
VIII B students of SMPN 20 Kupang in the academic year 2019/2020 classified as
very good. The data obtained be analyzed using the t test. Before testing the
hypothesis, a prerequisite test is a normality test. From the analysis results for the
pretest data, the Asymp. Sig. (2 - tailed) = 0.079 > 0.05 and = 0.156 <
thus accepted and the data were normally distributed. While
the posttest data obtained Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = 0.200 > 0.05 and =
0.116< 0,250 = thus accepted and the data are normally distributed.
Hypothesis testing uses paired sample t-test, after the data analyzed the Sig
