Abstract :
The purpose of this research is to determine the effect of learning motivation and discipline of learning on the achievement of learning mathematics students VII SMP Negeri 20Kupang academic year 2016/2017, to determine the influence of learning motivation and discipline of learning on mathematics learning achievement of students of class VII Negeri 20 Kupang academic year 2016/2017, and to determine the influence of learning motivation and discipline of learning on mathematics learning achievement of students of class VII SMA Negeri 20 Kupang academic year 2016/2017. The type of research used is quantitative research with statistical analysis technique used is multiple regression analysis. The population in this study is the entire class VII SMA Negeri 20 kupang with research sample consists of one class taken by determining the class by using random sumpling technique. Data collection techniques used standardized test kits, questionnaires, and mathematics achievement tests that have been tested for validity and reliability. Prior to performing statistical analysis, prior analysis requirements were performed which included normality, linearity and multicolinearity tests. Data analysis performed using SPSS 22.00 for windows and manual analysis as comparison. Based on multiple regression analysis, it can be concluded that the motivation of learning and discipline of learning has an influence on mathematics learning achievement with regression equation Y = 33,705 + 0,294X1 + 0,263X2. Value F_count = 10,692> 3,49 = F_table. Then accept H_0, meaning there is an influence between learning motivation and discipline of learning on mathematics learning achievement of students of class VII SMP Negeri 20 Kupang academic year 2016/2017. Based on the result of SPSS 22,00 for windows, F test of learning motivation and learning discipline have influence on mathematics learning achievement and t test of learning motivation and discipline of learning have influence on mathematics learning achievement. Thus with the motivation of learning and discipline of learning on mathematics learning achievement is expected to the school parties in order to support student learning activities so as to help students obtain good learning achievement
