Abstract :
ARSC motivation strategy is a type of learning which consider to student attention, adjust subject with experience of student, make student believe and too feel satisfy by themselves. Direct learning model is a teaching close which is special made to provide process of student learning which consider with declarative knowledge and procedural knowledge which have good arrangement which can be teach with activity model step by step. The main problem in this research is how the result of application of ARCS motivation strategy in Direct Learning Model Of Geometry Optika subject of class X A student even semester of SMAK Sint Carolus Penfui Kupang in the academic year 2013/2014? In specific problem in this research is (1) How is teacher ability to make learning process which using ARCS motivation strategy in direct learning model? (2) How the result of learning of indicator in learning with using ARCS motivation strategy in direct learning model? (3) How the result of learning of student in learning with give application ARCS motivation strategy in direct learning model? (4) How is student motivation to learning activity with using ARCS motivation strategy in direct learning model? The aim of this research is to describe the result of of application of ARCS motivation strategy id direct learning model of geometry optika subject of class X A student even semester SMAK Sint Carolus Penfui Kupang in the academic year 2013/2014. In detail the aim of this research is (1) To describe teacher ability in making learning process with using ARCS motivation strategy in direct learning model. (2) To describe indicator of learning result in learning with using ARCS motivation Strategy in direct learning model. (3) To describe student learning result with using ARCS motivation strategy in direct learning model. (4) To describe student motivation to learning activity with using ARCS motivation strategy in direct learning model. The type of research in descriptive research, research subject is teacher (researcher) and class X A student of SMAK Sint Carolus Penfui Kupang in the academic year 2013/2014 which consist of 24 student. While instrument which is used in the research in learning organizer observation sheet, sheet of planning answer and learning evaluation, test of kognitif learning result, sheet of afektif value and psikomotor and student motivation questionnaire. Technique of taking data which is used is observation, questionnaire and test while technique of data analysis which is used is quantitative descriptive analysis teachnique. Based on descriptive analysis result, research data shows that in general application of ARCS motivation strategy is direct learning model is good for geometry optika subject to class X A student of SMAK Sint Carolus Penfui Kupang which consist of 24 student. (1) Teacher ability to make learning with using ARCS motivation strategy in direct learning model which include learning equipment planning, implementation, learning evaluation planning and application of learning is include in good category. (2) Indicator of learning result (product, afektif and psikomotor) which is prepare is done. (3) Result of learning of student in class X A of SMAK Sint Carolus Penfui Kupang in geometry optika subject is complete. (4) Student motivation to learning application with applicate ARCS motivation strategy in direct learning model to positive and negative category which include four aspects, they are attention, relevance, confidence and satisfaction is good.
