Abstract :
The nature of this study, about discusses a systematic way of thinking, logical, critical, and creative in communicating ideas or in mathematical problem solving. through the application of Acceleration learning models made through the method of experimental class and control class method of the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 East Kupang on the subject of sub-surface area and volume of prisms and pyramids second semester of academic year 2013/2014. The purpose of the study was to determine the increase in systematic thinking skills, logical, critical, and creative in communicating ideas or in mathematical problem solving learning through accelerated learning model and the conventional learning model and knowing the students' response to the learning model. From the test results obtained post_tes statistical homogeneity test in SPSS 16.0. Of the output is known that the significance value of 0.560, while the results of manual analysis showed that of Fcount = 1.145985 ttable = 2.02 with df = 44. From the results of statistical tests above, reinforce the research hypothesis which states reject H0 and accept Ha, so it can be concluded that there is a difference in learning achievement of students taught with accelerated learning model and conventional learning models on the subject of volume and broad -surface and the prism and pyramid class VIII SMP Negeri 1 East Kupang second semester of the school year 2013/2014.
