Abstract :
Entrepreneurial Orientation is considered to have a positive impact to the firm performance. Based on the preliminary interview with PT. KertoPaten Kencana, Medan There are issues in their firm performance that caused by lack of Entrepreneurial Orientation practice. The indicators of Entrepreneurial Orientation in the research are including competitive aggressiveness, autonomy, risk-taking, proactiveness, and innovativeness. The indicators of firm performances are productivity, piloting, effectiveness, efficiency, and quality. According to Cubico there are positive influence on Entrepreneurial Orientation on Firm Performance directly or indirectly. The research design in the research is quantitative and causal method. The population and sample of the company are 34 people. The sampling technique that is used in the research is census sampling. PT.Kertopaten Kencana is a family business that is founded by Mr.Sutantio and currently on third generation of their family business. Based on the validity test, there is one question from independent variable and dependent variable that is not valid so both of the question will not included into actual test. Beside two question that is not valid, all questions are distributed normally. The data is linear and heteroskedasticity phenomenon is not occured. The determination test shows there is influence of entrepreneurial orientation on firm performance. The hypothesis test resulted Ha or alternative hypothesis accepted Based on the research result, there are several areas in entrepreneurial orientation and firm performance that require more concern./Orientasi Wirausaha dianggap memiliki dampak positif terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Berdasarkan wawancara dengan perusahaan PT. KertoPaten Kencana, Medan ada masalah dalam kinerja perusahaan mereka yang disebabkan oleh kurangnya praktik Orientasi Wirausaha. Indikator Orientasi Wirausaha dalam penelitian ini termasuk agresivitas kompetitif, otonomu, pengambilan resiko, proaktif dan inovasi. Indikator kinerja perushaan adalah produktivitas, uji coba, efektivitas, efisiensim dan kualitas. Menurut Cubico ada pengaruh positif pada orientasi wirasusaha terhdap kinerja perushaan baik secara langsung dan tidak langsung Desain penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dan kausal. Populasi dan sampel perusahaan adalah 34 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah sensus sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui penyebaran kuesioner kepada karyawan perusahaan. PT.Kertopaten Kencana adalah bisnis keluarga yang didirikan oleh Mr.Santantio dan saat ini merupakan generasi ketiga dari bisnis keluarga mereka.. Berdasarkan uji validitas, ada satu pertanyaan dari variabel independen dan variabel dependen yang tidak valid sehingga kedua pertanyaan tidak akan dimasukkan ke dalam tes aktual. Selain dua pertanyaan yang tidak valid, semua pertanyaan didistribusikan secara normal. Datanya linear dan fenomena heteroskedastisitas tidak terjadi. Uji determinasi menunjukkan ada pengaruh orientasi kewirausahaan terhadap kinerja perusahaan. Uji hipotesis menunjukkan ha diterima Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, ada beberapa bidang dalam orientasi kewirausahaan dan kinerja perusahaan yang membutuhkan perhatian lebih.
