Abstract :
Pasir Pengaraian has a variety of bread products. In addition to abundant raw materials, people's interest in this food also continues to increase. This can be seen from the many bakeries and the many variations of bread that continue to emerge. This study aims to analyze consumer preferences for bakeries in Pasir Pengaraian, Rambah District, Rokan Hulu Regency. This research was conducted in 5 (five) bakeries in Pasir Pengaraian. The sampling method uses accidental sampling method with a total sample of 88 respondents taken using the Slovin formula, and using chi square analysis (x2). The results showed that the majority of respondents who bought bread were women aged 25-33, the majority of high school education levels, the type of work the majority of housewives, the majority of household income Rp.900.000,00 - Rp.1.025.000,00. Reasons for purchasing bread are due to taste, the importance of regular bread consumption, the average consumption of bread in a day is not certain, the decision to purchase bread is planned, the frequency of purchasing bread is uncertain, the number of purchases is 2, the consideration of choosing where to shop the product is always available. Based on the chi square analysis of consumers of bakeries in Pasir Pengaraian there is no difference or there are differences in consumer preferences for bakeries.
