Abstract :
This study aims to determine the effect of Total Quality Management
(TQM
) on the performance of contract employees at PT PLN
(Persero
) Rayon
Pasir Pengaraian. The sampling technique used in this study was simple random
sampling and determined the number of samples using the Slovin formula with 95
respondents. The measurement method used in this study is the Likert scale used to
measure a person's response or response to perception. Quantitative analysis
method using simple linear regression. The results of the study show that Total
Quality Management has a positive and significant effect on the performance of
contract employees in PT PLN
(Persero
)Rayon Pasir Pengaraian of 0.815 or
81.50%. It is recommended for employees to increase total quality management in
the future, especially in focusing on the community, having a high obsession with
quality, using a scientific approach to decision making and problem solving,
having long-term commitments, requiring teamwork, improving processes
sustainably, conducting education and training, providing controlled freedom,
having controlled unity, the involvement and empowerment of employees. To PT
PLN
(Persero
)Rayon Pasir Pengaraian to improve the performance of contract
employees in particular to the leadership in order to increase or file employees
involved in decision making. Furthermore, it should also pay attention to education
in accepting contract employees because education is one of the important factors
in doing a job.
