Abstract :
The meter (electric meters) is a device used to measure the total electrical energy consumption by consumers, both at home, shop, office, industrial and so on. Electric utilities such as PLN, installing prepaid kWh meter on each customer, the kWh meter is able to obtain tariff information which has been used by customers but this prepaid system does not know how the amount of usage per customer. Prototype made to carry out research. To support the needs analysis research is needed to run the system. The need for such devices logmeter, arduino microcontroller, GSM / GPRS Shield and current sensors. By adding an additional microcontroller tools and utilize the facility of SMS Gateway measurement data will be sent electrical load. The results obtained in this system in the form of measurement data received to website monitoring to see the use of electric load and customer electricity usage rates.
