Abstract :
Main focus of PLN is to maintain the quality of electricity distribution and
reduce the basic cost of supply. One of the efforts made is by building a substation
and deactivating the PLTD. ULP Sandai supplies 27.532 customers using PLTD
located in Kecamatan Nanga Tayap, Kabupaten Ketapang. Realized losses reached
2.814.914 kWh or 10,96% and BPP UP3 Ketapang reached Rp. 2.510,22 in the
period January - June 2022.The losses are affected by uneven load condition and
the length of the feeder causing losses in the form of undistributed kWh and poor
service quality.. The Sandai substation in 2023 will operate in accordance with the
electricity supply business plan for (RUPTL). The simulation results for losses
before the Sandai substation operates is 3.210.384 kWh or 12,50% and after the
substation operates it becomes 2.373.139 kWh or 9.24%, or according to the
monthly target set by the company in 2022, which is 9,68%, then the realization of
losses is achieved when the substation is operating. BPP UP3 Ketapang when the
PLTD is deactivated it becomes Rp. 2.031.00. This value decreased by Rp. 479,22
or 19,11% of the BPP when using PLTD. Savings in generator operating costs
include: PLTD rental fee of Rp. 791.139.300 / month, the cost of using fuel and
lubricants is Rp. 9.886.295.436 / month and the cost of transporting fuel is Rp.
759.144.000 / month. Network reconfiguration at substations and location
determination have an impact on improving ULP Sandai distribution losses and
have an effect on reducing plant operating costs.
