ABSTRACT
The purpose of this study was to determine the rate of open wound healing
based on the size of the wound diameter shrinkage in white rats (Rattus norvegicus)
given the ointment of kirinyuh leaf extract (Chromolaena odorata) and to determine
the appropriate concentration of kirinyuh leaf extract (Chromolaena Odorata) for
healing open wounds in rats. white (Rattus norvegicus). This type of research is
experimental with a completely randomized design (CRD). The sample used was 1
kg of kirinyuh leaves (Chromolaena odorata) obtained from Maumere NTT, 25
white rats (Rattus norvegicus) which were divided into 5 treatment groups and 5
replications. P0(-) is a negative control: 5 white rats (Rattus norvegicus) given
aquadest. P4(+) is a positive control: 5 white rats (Rattus norvegicus) given
bioplacenton ointment. P1 : 5 white rats (Rattus norvegicus) given 5% kirinyuh leaf
extract ointment (Chromolaena odorata). P2 : 5 white rats (Rattus norvegicus) given
10% kirinyuh leaf extract ointment (Chromolaena odorata). P3 : 5 white rats (Rattus
norvegicus) given 15% kirinyuh leaf extract ointment. The results showed a very
significant difference between groups (P2) compared to groups (P1, P3, P4 and P0)
(P<0.01). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the leaf extract
of kirinyuh (Chromolaena odorata) can be used as a ointment against white rats
(Rattus norvegicus).
