Abstract :
STH (Soil Transmitted Helminths) are nematode worms that require soil
for the development of the infective form. In Indonesia, this class of worms that is
very important and causes health problems in the community is roundworm
(Ascaris lumbricoides), the disease is called Ascariasis, whipworm (Trichuris
trichiura), the disease is called Trichuriasis, hookworms (Ancylostoma duodenale
and Necator americanus) the disease is called ankylostomyasis and nekatoriasis,
Children are the group of people who suffer the most from diseases, one
of which is that children must be protected from worms, especially elementary
school age children because they often play or come into contact with the soil
which is the place where the worms grow and develop. Worm infection has a
negative impact on health and mental development and can even hinder child
development, disability and blindness.
Nguter sub-district has several villages / regions, one of which is Nguter

Poor personal hygiene and environmental sanitation for children is a
factor that facilitates the transmission of worms, especially groups of children
who have a habit of defecating in open water channels or in the environment
around the house, eating without washing their hands, and playing in the soil
contaminated with worm eggs without footwear.
